You’ve heard them in the whispers

Even saw them in your dreams

Don’t focus on the illusions

Remember nothing is as it seems

This life is full of lessons

We’ve all been burnt or robbed

No one is here to save you

So forget the countless tears you’ve sobbed

Love I what you were seeking

After all, compassion is what we live for

You heart was finally open

And they came crashing through the door

Past suffering is what broke you open

In the midst you’ve begged, pleaded, and clawed

Find gratitude for this person on your journey

For they’ve brought you back to God
