Monday Morning!
How do you choose to show up on Monday or any other day for that matter? Is it a new week with new goals and a new mindset? Or is it just another Monday that sucks because we are all still stuck at home? How you choose to show up everyday makes a difference, and we always have a choice.
I begin my day with a workout, a yoga practice, and writing in my five minute journal. Yes, I still write in journals even though I am in the process of burning my old ones! Perhaps, some think that is crazy to burn my thoughts and feelings from the past, but it feels right to me.
Movement, breath, and setting my intentions for the day sets me up on the right track.
Somedays I really do feel stuck, unworthy, not enough, sad, lonely, and disconnected, but I give myself permission to feel first, to meet myself as I am, and without judgement. Then I decide to change those unwanted thoughts into positive ones!
Yes, somedays I do feel lonely, even though my husband is working from home. He is home, but he is still working. He is here, but it is I that must show up for myself everyday, even though somedays I don’t feel like it.
When I started writing and sharing my reflections, as I like to call them, I was so attached to the outcome of what people would think of me, of what I had to say, but I have learned to let that attachment go and do it anyways. I will continue to write, share, and show up and been seen!
