Meditation can help reduce stress and restore emotional balance.

It can increase our focus and creativity, does wonders for reducing depression and anxiety, and can help improve memory issues and pain. I cannot overstate the importance of mediation for the health of mind, body, and soul.

Whether we are new to the practice or seasoned veterans, learning about various guided meditation styles can help us find what works best for us.

If you’re looking for new inspiration, these five mediation guides may help on your journey.

Here are five mediation guides and tools I use:

1. Move your body with Boho Beautiful.

I have been an avid fan of Boho Beautiful’s online yoga practices for years but recently discovered her beautiful meditations. Each guided meditation is set in the most breathtaking settings, and Juliana’s words, tone, and pace can almost bring us instantly into a state of utter peace. In addition, there are free guided meditations.

2. Silence the noise with Everest Wind.

Years ago, I visited New York’s Ruben Museum of Art, dedicated to art from Tibet. I found it hard to tear myself away from an installation that let you put on headphones and listen to a recording of the wind in the Himalayan mountains. So when I am looking for complete relaxation, I close my eyes and listen to the Everest Wind recording.

3. Meditate together with Space 2 Meditate.

I connected with Jon and Upayadhī during the pandemic and joined their daily morning guided group meditations. I loved the grounding I found while meditating with a group each morning. I learned how powerful meditation could be when done together. They thankfully continued these online mornings after the world opened up and offered wonderful workshops and dharma talks.

4. Drop into your breath with Victorien.

I met Victorien and his flute also during the pandemic during an online spa night. It was love at first sight! His flute playing is my go-to when I need a moment of focus and calm. It is so easy to drop into his beautiful music and my breath, and I find myself revived in mere moments.

5. Commit to the process with Insight Timer.

I have used the Insight Timer app since I first began meditating. We can meditate to a timer with start and end bells and pick from one of the thousands of meditations. We can also attend classes and live events. It also lets us connect with people from all over the world who are meditating with us. It is one-stop shopping for all our meditation needs.
