“There’s no difference between the parties,” progressive hipsters love to say.

Gore v Bush…or Nader. Hillary v Trump…or Stein. How’d that go?

“There’s no difference between the parties,” progressive hipsters love to say.

Other than that, you know, Democrats are 96% united re gun safety, climate crisis, infrastructure, equal rights for all, and Republicans are 96% opposed to progress on any fronts, and their motto literally pulls us backward.

1. Illinois Democratic governor on July 4 mass shooting:
“A celebration of America was ripped apart by our uniquely American plague….Our Founders carried muskets, not assault weapons. And I don’t think a single one of them would have said that you have a constitutional right to an assault weapon with a high capacity magazine, or that that is more important than the right of the people who attended this parade today to live. There is no better day and no better time” to talk about gun control. Mass shootings have become our weekly American tradition.”

2. Meanwhile the GOP gent running for governor, 2 hours after it happened:
“Let’s move on & get back to celebrating the 4th.”

As if it was a passing rain shower.

There’s no difference between the parties!, hipsters in Instagram comments love to intone.

As if Bernie, Obama, Elizabeth Warren…and Trump were the same kinda thing. Fact is, the parties are starkly different. This image shows that in just four cases (I have a list of hundreds and hundreds of such cases on issues that matter to you and I, both).

Fact is, Democrats can’t do much about climate crisis, reproductive rights, infrastructure…anything, without a real majority that isn’t dependent on Manchin, Sinema, and the like.
