She’ll never be anything they all said with joy,
She’ll fall on her face because of those boys.
She’ll forget who she is and she’ll tend to his needs,
She’ll obsess over him until her heart bleeds.
She’ll lose sight of all the important things,
She’ll be swooned and she will accept the rings.
She’ll live happily ever after only in her dreams,
She’ll wonder why no one hears her screams.
She’ll be everything bad they all thought she’d be,
She’ll cry every night until she can’t breathe.
She’ll always make bad decisions and complain,
She’ll never be happy, for she’ll always be too vain.
She’ll just sit around in misery day out and day in,
She’ll always live a sad life because of her sins.
Well all of these things may be true,
But you just wait and she’ll show you.
It’s not her past that defines her future.
That shit back there will become a cute blur.
One day she will live on her own,
She may, though, never act full grown.
She may never want all the money like you,
She may just be happy coming unglued.
She may not be all put together,
She may even ruffle some feathers.
She may fuck it all up,
She may spill her cup.
She may write awesome poetry,
She may, you just wait and see.
