Here I share questions that are, more often than not, on the back of my mind: How can I be of most benefit? What kind of person I would like to become? What is preventing me to become a better person?
And these questions come with a reflection on my intention and motivation in life. I suppose we can’t all simply become someone else overnight (well I can’t!), but rather one step at a time.
Let’s look at the virtue of patience. It would require practice, practice and a little more practice, just to be sure. We all have many opportunities to practice off the mat, every day, during our interactions with family, friends, pets, and even when buying groceries.
But, on the exact moment the opportunity arises, we get caught up and then, booommm.. impatience takes over. Backward steps are also part of the path as they teach us to be humble and be patient with ourselves.
So, I aspire to remember as much as possible to water the flower of patience, so it can grow. May everyone, everywhere, have more moments of selfless love.
