{*Did you know you can write on Elephant? Here’s how—big changes: How to Write & Make Money or at least Be of Benefit on Elephant. ~ Waylon}

In this nightmare, I awaken,

Dark dystopian choices fade,

A war against the lives we lead,

Our rights stripped, our spirits frayed.

Men speak with voices thunderous,

Yet know not what it means to bleed.

They preach of life, but hollow words

Cannot fathom the wounds we heed.

Each decree, a jagged stone,

Thrown from thrones built on our pain.

They aim to bind us with their tongues,

But it’s our bodies bound in chains.

My forsaken womb alone

Bears the burden of this fight,

With dreams and hopes entwined in grief,

While they turn blind to our desperate plight.

And societies narrowed, broken view,

Values only the spark of birth,

Then turns away once life begins,

Ignoring all the struggle’s worth.

I bow my head in mourning now,

For every woman’s stifled cry.

Who walked this world with quiet rage,

And still they rose, though dreams would die.

I speak for every muted voice,

For those too scared to claim their fire.

Your choice is power, fierce and bright,

And in your struggle, we aspire.
