Take the Pledge & Know Your Food. {Partner}

blue needs you two

elephant journal is proud to partner with 1% For The Planet on their Know your Food campaign and pledge.

Meet the leaders at the forefront of changing the way food gets produced, delivered and consumed ranging from topics of schools to the economy.

They are changing our personal and environmental health every day.

1% for the Planet member businesses work on environmental solutions with our tireless nonprofit partners with their commitment. Whether it’s Chef Ann asking you to tell your neighborhood schools that TheLunchBox.org can help them serve healthier food to students, or Jack Johnson asking you to plant a school, community or home garden and eat a locally grown meal every week with his Capture Your Commitment campaign.

They are suggesting efforts we can all do, meeting us where we are in support of a sustainable food system. Because this big blue planet sustains us; we need to sustain it!

And now we have an ask of you…yes, you!

This pledge is 1% for the Planet’s way to show how individuals can be part of the environmental solution by how we interact with businesses.

Every time we eat, we have a chance to make a difference. We can choose who to buy from and what we get for our money. Every day we eat food from people and places we don’t know, made with ingredients we can’t pronounce. As children, we learn not to take candy from strangers, but as adults we do just that.

Join us in our commitment to increasing transparency around what we put into our bodies. Just say yes, please to knowing the processes, ingredients, and environmental impact of the products we consume.
