People often ask me: “You travel so much. What’s the most amazing place you’ve ever seen?”
I try to explain: it’s more about the people you meet than the places you go. Every day, regular street crossings can be more exciting than jungles in the farthest corners of the earth.
It’s not about where we are, it’s about how we are. How open we are to experiencing new things. How much we appreciate ordinary beauty, beauty that lies dormant, waiting for us to acknowledge it.
It’s about whether or not we keep our eyes open for the unexpected and our own ability to search for adventure and allow our soul to connect to another.
That’s the adventure—things you can find at home or far away—sharing a silent sky with someone you’ve only known for a second, watching the trees come alive in the spring, closing your eyes and taking a breath that’s far deeper than the one you took last.
These moments are worth remembering.
This place, wherever you are now, can be the most amazing place you’ve ever been to.
The moon is setting. The day is over.
Our journey has just begun.
