Yoni means “sacred place” in Sanskrit; it is another word for the female vagina.

A Yoni massage is an internal massage of the vagina that is part of the sensual Tantric massage. It is a full mind, body and spirit experience; it is empowering, healing and awakening and it is a celebration of all that we are as females.

The massage is a far more mental and spiritual experience than it is physical, therefore it is experienced differently depending on the emotional and mental connection to it at the time. It is a pleasurable gift that needs to be given very slowly as it is a deep expression of love.

Our physical, spiritual and emotional health are all connected to our sexual organs, therefore, if there are any blockages due to toxins, our Prana/Life force also known as sexual energy cannot travel freely through the body.

During a Yoni massage blockages are released, toxins are broken down and the blood flow is increased to the sexual organs. Female ejaculation often occurs during the massage, which helps to further release any negative emotions and also it clears the sacred space to allow a deeper level of sexual pleasure to enter.

While the massage is taking place, knots that hold negative emotion are felt as small blockages in the surface, which can be loosened and broken down and deeper tangles can also be dissolved with a firmer massage at a greater depth.

Emotional, physical, and psychological healing takes place during the Yoni massage. All past hurts can be released including frustration, guilt, shame, abuse, disappointments and more.

To prepare for a Yoni massage it is important to create a sacred space for it to take place, a safe haven to explore and discover the sacredness of the Yoni.

Bathe first, adding oils, and soak the skin while letting go of everything that has been spinning around in the mind. Do not rush this cleansing time. Use it as a chance to really let go and allow the muscles to relax while the mind slows right down and clears the way for the sensual sexual energy to flow through the body.

If possible, bathe together and unwind by washing the other’s hair and skin and sensitising the body by softly stroking and massaging one another to release the pressure that the body has been holding onto.

Light candles in the bedroom, play soft sensual music in the background, create a soft setting with blankets and pillows to support and relax into and also communicate with one another, if not with words, with loving action.

Tantra is all about surrendering the mind and body to allow it to embrace a slow, erotic, artful arousal, gently teasing and building up tension and letting go of all inhibitions and connecting with our core.

Pay attention to each breath, inhale and exhale and focus only on the here and now. Thoughts will come and go, allow them to. Only pay attention to the connection and closeness of the two bodies and the sensations that are happening within the body and the mind, remembering the goal is not to achieve an orgasm, the orgasm will likely happen, although it is not something to focus on. It may take a little practice or a few massage sessions before this is achieved, if at all.

One of the most comfortable positions to experience a Yoni massage is for the female to lie on her back, legs open, bent at the knees, and pillows supporting the upper body so that she can look down and watch the experience and also observe the movements of the person giving the massage. A pillow can also be placed under the hips to tilt them slightly.

The person giving the massage should sit cross-legged between the female’s legs.

Begin the massage by using deep breathing techniques and if the bodies are in close contact, try to synchronise it so that one inhales as the other exhales, as though you are sharing the same air.

All touch should be given with a loving and respectful intent, making as much eye contact as is comfortable. It is quite normal for the one receiving the massage to go into a trance like state—this should not be forced, but if achieved may heighten the intensity and pleasure of the experience.

Before moving the hand towards the Yoni, first stroke the legs, breasts, arms and thighs to gently relax the body and arouse it in preparation for a more intimate massage. The Yoni massage should only begin when the body is fully relaxed and all tension has been released.

Place a drop of lubricant or good quality oil onto the fingertips and also let a couple of drops trickle onto the lips of the Yoni.

Place one hand on the heart centre and the other on the outer skin of the Yoni. Allow the hands to soften and very slowly begin to spread the oil between the fingers and around the Yoni making small circles with the fingertips and caressing the pubic bone.

Spend time caressing and massaging the oil in for some time, keeping eye contact if possible and focusing purely on the sensual, not the sexual side of the touch.

Massage the inner thighs, increasing and decreasing the pressure and also alternating from circular movements to stroking forward and back.

Using the fingertips move up and down into the crease of the Yoni, softly squeezing the lips together between the fingertips and thumb.

Slide one lubricated finger slowly and with a small amount of pressure up and down either side of the outer vagina lips, alternating the massage from one side to the other.

Move inwards to stroke the clitoris in clockwise and then anti-clockwise circular motions. Very gently pull on the clitoris and then alternate back to a stroking motion.

Softly communicate so the receiver can confirm if each movement is pleasurable and what levels of speed and pressure they wish to receive.

In Tantric sex, the right hand is associated with polarity, so gently insert the right middle finger into the Yoni opening. At this stage, encourage the receiver to relax and deepen the breathing and to not worry about being aroused or reaching orgasm, but instead to focus on the sensual feelings that are arising.

Slowly and gently explore and massage the inside of the Yoni with the middle finger, massaging the inner walls with a little pressure. Alternate the speed and pressure and ensure it is relaxing and that the receiver is comfortable.

Feel the texture of the skin and move the fingers very slowly, paying attention to each part of the inner Yoni. If small areas of tension are felt, stop the movement, but gently press and release the area. Regularly ask if it feels okay to continue and if so, with each movement gently add a little more pressure to release specific tensions spots that are filled with negative trauma.

This is a process of release and letting go, so do not be surprised if it is a little overwhelming for the receiver. Tears, sobs, groans and sighs are all perfectly normal, although make sure the receiver feels comfortable enough to let you know if they wish the massage to stop at any time. The first time a Yoni massage is received can be the most powerful and intensified, so just let the experience take on a natural flow.

With the palm facing upwards and the middle finger inserted, pull the finger towards the pubic bone and feel the soft spongy area that is located there, this is the G-Spot. Move the finger forward and back pushing firmly but gently into this area and also massaging all around it.

Move in small circular motions, then expand the circle so that the whole area is massaged, slide the finger up and down, forward and back.

For an intensified feeling, the finger next to the little finger can be entered at the same time as the middle finger, but check with the receiver first as this should only occur if the receiver is comfortable with it and also if it feels pleasurable.

The left hand can be massaging and stroking other sensual areas of the body, so that a deeper connection and more intensified arousal are achieved.

If an orgasm is reached, just continue massaging as before, paying close attention to how the person receiving it is feeling, and move the fingers in a rhythmic but gentle motion to enhance the orgasm and keep it intensified for as long as possible.

In Tantra, the small finger enters the anus while the finger next to it and the middle finger are inserted inside the Yoni and the thumb is placed on the clitoris. This is known as “holding the mystery of the universe” in your hand. This process is only practiced if both the giver and receiver are fully comfortable.

When it is time to finish the massage, very slowly remove the fingers, but continue to massage the outer area of the Yoni and also the rest of the body until the powerful stimulating waves have subsided. The female should feel fully respected, cared for and worshiped throughout the whole experience.

Remember at all times, this is a massage, it is not intended to create an orgasm, the orgasm will release when (and if) the sensations allow it. The Yoni massage should not be concentrated on one area only—it should involve all parts of the body and also penetrate the mind.

The G-Spot that is being caressed is also known as the Goddess Spot and when stimulated it is an intensely sensitive and highly erotic zone, which holds both pleasurable and painful memories. It is a small area located on the upper wall approximately one-two inches inside the entrance to the Yoni and when aroused it becomes slightly swollen and more sensitive.

The Yoni massage releases tension that has built up, so clears the way so that penetration becomes less painful, and awakens the G-Spot, which helps to make reaching orgasm through penetration possible.

If orgasm is reached it can last anything up to an hour, and shivering and shaking is quite normal as negative energy is released from the whole body.

The emergence from the Yoni massage is one of universal awareness and a higher consciousness, awakening Kundalini energy. The body and the heart are connected meaning that we are open to a deeper level of authenticity and many truths within our lives will now become clear as we see things with greater clarity.

The cleansing and healing will take place from as soon as the massage begins and will continue into the days following the massage.
