Roar for Mother Earth. {Poem}

spider web

Building

And adding
And yearning for more

I have a fear in the pit
Of my stomach as I
Try to settle the score

This Earth is not
Something to build
Upon and take
For granted

She lay there amongst
Evergreen pastures
And chanted

They got it all wrong
They’re blind
They can’t see
That this Earth
Is a living entity
That breathes

When will people see
That money can’t be eaten
And Mother Earth has
Suffered enough of
Their beaten

Who are we to think we
Are superior to the Universe
I’m waiting and praying
Please lift this curse

Please don’t take away
What matters most to me
The wilderness the birds
And the mystical sea

If it’s true, “A people are not defeated until the hearts of their women are
on the ground!” ~Cheyenne proverb

Then God bless
America I don’t ever
Want to be found

Because the way
We treat our Earth
We’re all going down

I prefer to listen to the drums
And follow my own sound

Listen to the wind
Listen to the silence
Listen to my heart
And it says no to
Violence

I was never one to
Follow the crowd
So I guess I’ll be the
One to stand up proud
And make my voice loud
Nobody likes me anyways
Because I am different

But that’s okay because I
Live my days well spent

Standing on the very ledge
roar

Like an amber lion
And show my
courage
