I know loss and what it can do to your heart….I have had several great losses in my life….some I still haven’t gotten over…the sudden death of my sister at 30…she left two small children behind…..they never healed…no closure for them has left them dealing with a lot of problems as adults….my dad my greatest love…my first love…my first kiss….he was diagnosed with cancer within 3 months he was gone… I only wish I that at that time I was designing images transfers like I do know…yes for loss….
Let me introduce myself my name is Lorri I live in Buffalo NY with husband and a daughter…..I am also a image transfer & mixed media artist and I do it all by hand and of course with your stories (pictures)…
Stories! Each of us have many to tell….How we tell them is different for everyone. How do we capture them? Do we write the words down then lock them away in our journals safely hidden for only our eyes to see, somehow hiding our pain or happiness….do we paint the scenes that we remember onto canvas or crave them out of our thoughts onto wood? No matter what the process is the end results are always yours only. As different and unique as you….For me image transferring Pictures are the stories I tell…each one unique. When we create your one of a kind piece, the process I use starts with a picture. Starting by creating an image transfer before putting it into silver or bronze metal clay. My work is completely handmade which gives me a connection to your piece as well.
Grieving is a process you must go through in order to heal….healing is a journey you take….together we can make the journey a bit easier with your stories(pictures) you can wear your piece and feel the heart start to heal…
