Darby is a writer, an inquisitive self-explorer, truth seeker, and mental health advocate. Forever a work in progress.

Through writing, Darby documents what she calls, her “Intentional Awakenings”. Snippets of wisdom she has gained on her journey of self exploration and radical self acceptance.

Darby works as a Peer Support Specialist for a rural, 501(c) 3 non-profit mental health agency. 

Writing has been both a therapeutic and creative outlet for Darby to speak her truth, raise awareness and heal her deep wounds. Believing wholeheartedly that getting curious and vulnerable about who we are can create expansive change and personal growth.

Through her work as a Peer Support Specialist, she utilizes a person-centered approach, built on the foundation of her personal, lived experiences. In sharing her personal story, Darby builds connection and offers hope to those who may need it most. With a focus on self advocacy, self exploration and mindfulness based stress reduction, Darby encourages a wellness based approach to healing that coincides with traditional therapy.

In her free time you will find her deep in the woods, inquisitively exploring trails, pondering her thoughts, writing her words and healing her wounds.
