Mindfulness Practices for people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID).
Dr. Julia Keller is the author of upcoming book, Mindful Interventions in Special Education. She helps parents navigate the challenging world of IEPs, tutors, teachers, and therapists by putting together customized approaches to individualizing their child’s education that parents can then implement.
She is passionate about helping people use mindfulness to become more joyful, creative, compassionate, and productive at school and at home. When she’s not practicing mindfulness, or walking around the local duck pond counting mallards and turtles and ospreys, or accidentally dying her hair pink (oops!), you can find her writing books and blogs or directing a non-profit to help children with learning difficulties (mindfulyouthinstitute.org).
She lives with her husband and cat in southern Colorado. Go to her personal website: drjuliakeller.com for more information.
