Laura Vaisman

Laura Vaisman is a writer, traveler and a patient advocate. In 2019, she released her debut book, Spiritual Nomad: A Journey Within and Abroad, where she shares her personal battles with anxiety and trauma. Her hope is to show people that emotions are messages that we should pay attention to, and our greatest gift is our willingness to be vulnerable. Through her travels around the world, Laura not only collected passport stamps, but inspiring life lessons from each destination, using them to fuel her journey of self-discovery and healing.

With years of therapy and lived experience, she wrote Penny Panic: A Young Girl’s Journey with Anxiety in 2020 as a tribute to her younger self and as a guide for teens struggling with anxiety. Laura hopes to empower others with the therapeutic tools she wishes she had known in her youth. Today, she continues to work on herself, as growing and evolving is a lifelong journey. She also continues to explore the world with her husband, Erik, while residing in New York. But no matter where her adventures take her, Laura will always be a Traveling Jersey Girl at heart.
