Maria Hayes is a mental health advocate, often writing personal essays regarding her own struggles with severe depression, and navigating the newfound world of sobriety after an 18 year love affair with alcohol. Currently, she is obsessed with living an alternative lifestyle, incorporating and learning everything she can about herbalism, plant medicine, and zero-waste living.

Aside from writing, her passions include solo travel, music, and gardening.
