Jazzie de Leon is an author, former foster child, family black sheep, and advocate for authentic storytelling.
Her memoir Brownsheep explores the struggles of growing up as an unseen and underestimated Filipino American in Los Angeles.
Recognized as a semi-finalist for the Book Life Award for memoir, Jazzie’s writing has also been featured in the San Francisco Writers Conference Anthology 2022. She received a literary fellowship from Authentic Voices in 2023.
Jazzie’s journey of resilience and self-discovery inspires others to embrace their true selves.
She resides in New Mexico where she finds joy in the company of her two black cats.
