New Year’s Resolution: This is Not a Paper Cup.

For anyone that knows ele’s editor, Waylon Lewis, the only thing he dislikes more than male interns is those plastic to go cups. In our coffee-to-latte world we often forget that those bleached paper to-go cups are quite a bit of waste and contribute greatly to our carbon footprint, especially if you frequent the cafés.

We can significantly reduce or impact by using a re-usable cup. And if you want a tongue-in-cheek option, check out these terrific cups called “This is Not A Paper Cup.” Made out of porcelain, it looks just like its terrible brother, the paper cup, but it is fitted with a rubber lid and insulated. Even though it’s not quite 16 oz, you’ll find it to be a fun addition to your dishware collection and I am sure every barista will be a bit surprised.

I first saw them at a dapper design studio in San Francisco, but they do have them at Urban Outfitters. I recommend buying them here at Think Geek for $19.99. Cheers!
