Cheers to a Helluva Year! Thank you, 2009!

2009 has been a magnificent year for me in many ways.

I got a chance to explore Los Angeles and make some great friends and connections there. I enjoyed spending time with Cheryl, my gaming buddy from SF Games, who now lives in L.A.

I got some green business cards made, thanks to Green Earth Print and Design.

I wrote many articles and did some reporting and editing for Elephant Journal.

I discovered the Goddess Temple of Orange County, where I really learned to learn about the divine feminine (and myself). I sang there on the 27th of December and that was really exciting!

My dream of being a writer is coming true—I’m writing a book called From Burned Out to Fired Up, which has gotten great feedback and orders already. I’ll be doing lots of speaking engagements this next year as I plan to step into the role of teacher on a bigger scale. 2009 was a “3” year for me in numerology, which meant lots of fun and self-expression. Next year is a “4” year (based on birthdate), which is all about teaching, taking care of practicalities, finances, and things related to the home.

Although I’ve experienced hardship financially and conflict with my family, the good times far outweigh the not-so-fun times. I attended the Green Business Conference in San Francisco for the third time and I felt like a little rock star! People remember me, and although they don’t necessarily know what I do as “the feng shui fairy”…they will soon enough!

I’ve been going back and forth about moving to San Francisco, staying in Orange County, going somewhere else (San Diego, perhaps). Things seemed so fantastic in Orange County! I’ve been involved with a church for the first time, I’m a member of certain groups, notably Orange County Board Gamers, I have some awesome friends, I was working in what I considered the best job in Irvine, singing in a choir with one of my favorite profs, and everything seemed to be looking up. Then, three things that were anchors for me here suddenly disappeared from my life.

Is this a sign? Is it time to return to SF and take care of unfinished business? Or, stay in Orange County where I have certain things set up quite nicely? Or perhaps relocate to San Diego, where I feel the most relaxed and have lifelong friends nearby? Wherever I go, or whether I stay, I need to put my health and my career as my highest priorities. So, Goddess, I’ll leave that open to you. Where would you have me go? What would you have me do? Can I succeed inOrange County? Is San Diego the most magical and restful place for me? And what of San Francisco, from which I hail? Time will tell, I suppose. I’ll be looking for more signs.

Anyhoo, I’ve learned so much about myself in the past year, have made great strides in my career, learned to make the best of a messy situation with my fam, had a LOT of fun, began a writing career, have plans for two self-help books, and I had my solo singing debut at the Goddess Temple of Orange County this past Sunday! Whoo-hoo! And I have REALLY celebrated in 2009. So, CHEERS to an amazing year and another one to come!
