Book review: The Best Buddhist Writing 2010 (Melvin McLeod, ed.)

Once again, the editors of Shambhala Sun have gathered together some of the best in contemporary Buddhist thought and writing.

2010’s anthology covers such wide-ranging topics as death, food and eating, and even a comparison of Zen to Alice in Wonderland from such luminaries as Thich Nhat Hanh, Sylvia Boorstein, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and a host of others. As with the collections of past years, The Best Buddhist Writing 2010 represents a timely and insightful addition to the collection of any Buddhist practitioner or scholar.

From Shambhala Publications and available from your local, independent bookseller. (Shop local, shop independent, and tell ‘em you saw it on Elephant Journal!)
