Darkness is just the absence of light.
All the darkness in the world can’t extinguish the smallest flame…
So it is with human intelligence. All the pain and suffering brought about by confusion can’t completely smother basic sanity.
It maybe that the formed mind sees the world through a narrow straw. That is, with a closed mind, focusing only on the pain, the suffering. But sanity, the most fundamental form of intelligence- our inheritance as human beings- lies undisturbed in the recesses of our mind, imprisoned only by our unwillingness to set it free!
What a quagmire…
