One of the best Get-Psyched-Up Songs of the Ever: Crazy.

elephant’s had a solid, fruitional year…and a slow six months. We’re used to growing 300% a year. Instead, we’ve idled. We’re on pace, just now, to have lower traffic than we did a year ago. I’m good with that.

No, I’m not. Our mission is to reach well beyond the core or choir of those who already live some version of their “mindful life” to those who didn’t already know they gave a care.

So I laid out incentives for my team, to be released if we make 2 million readers/month (Google Analytics) by the end of December, only two months away (and change, to give us a moment to get rolling).

If we don’t make it, I’ll have to fire one of our team—I can’t pay for plateauing mediocrity. But I’m not thinking about that, and I encourage our team not to do so—much—either.

Our goal is attainable. How do we get there? We rock our many FB subpages. We get great old writers back and active and inspired. It’s easy. It’s fun. It’s important—this world needs a voice in America’s kitchens. And it’s doable.

And, it’s crazy (see below, the song Abbey and I used to play loudly whenever we sold an ad, and get re-inspired to climb the next mountain in your own life).

PS: if you readers out there are inspired to help us, you can do one of three things: become a writer. Share your story, voice, inspirations. Share a favorite blog of your choice a week to your Facebook Wall, we need it. Join our free weekly newsletter, or our daily, with free links.

And I can die when I’m done…That’s my only advice:

“You are the best. You are the worst. You are average. Your love is a part of you. You try to give it away because you cannot bear its radiance, but you cannot separate it from yourself.

To understand your fellow humans, you must understand why you give them your love.

You must realize that hate is but a crime-ridden subdivision of love. You must reclaim what you never lost. You must take leave of your sanity, and yet be fully responsible for your actions.”

~ Gnarls Barkley, in a letter to the legendary rock critic Lester Bangs

Another (duh): it’s rally cap time.

We’ve come so far, but we’ve got much more fun ahead:
