Passion in the Garden. {Poem}

Fresh fallen spring rain

dappled sunlight

caressed, licked, warmed

the cool drizzle.

A bed of newborn leaves

glistened, bent, dipped.

Soft moss

silently laid upon the soddened, awakened earth.

Leaves unfurled in the spring-like chill.

She was moist.

A bird’s trill entered a melodic rhythm.

The delicate muted pink layers

Grand jeté of apple blossoms

Bees hummed with the earth

to a pulse and a breath.

An unabashed crescendo

released in the sturdy branches

of nature’s love.
