What makes yoga such a powerful force in our lives?
As a teacher, I am always interested in how to convey an answer to this question to both new students and to non-yogis at dinner parties who are wondering what all the fuss is about!
I asked my friend (and teacher training colleague) Hala Khouri from Off The Mat to offer an answer to the questions: Why does yoga work? What does it really do for us?
Now there are of course the obvious answers regarding flexibility, strength, body awareness and balance, but what I found was that this psychologically savvy yoga teacher had a deeper take on the significance, power and benefits of an integrated yoga practice.
