Recipe for Happiness
In one old bowl lined with leftover competitiveness, sticky self-pity, raw resentment, tension, and all remaining residue from previous cooking,
1 good scrapper
3 teaspoons self-love
1/4 cup uncompromising confidence
1/4 cup courage, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup smooth equilibrium without lumps
4 tablespoons of good intentions
2 gallons of humor
1 jar of humility sprinkles, at least 16 ounces
First, take the scraper and firmly and resolutely scrape all hardened competitiveness, self-pity, resentment, tension and hatred off the sides of the bowl (be careful not to nick the bowl). Scrub if necessary, but only with running water in order to protect the bowl and wash away any stubborn sticky bits.
Then when the bowl starts to sparkle, take a deep breath and notice the color radiating off the bowl. It might appear rainbow-like. Do not worry! You are not hallucinating!
Think deeply of someone you love as you begin to pour in 3 teaspoons of uncompromising confidence. Forgive yourself for any residues of negativity that may come up.
Carefully pour 1/4 cup of self-love in with the other ingredients, and stir until mixed. Take the bite-size pieces of courage and mash decisively into the mixture until it appears smooth.
Now, add the equilibrium to create a velvet-like texture that begins to emit a sweet aromatic scent. Add 4 tablespoons of good intentions.
Laugh heartily and pour, without too much splashing, 2 whole gallons of humor into the mix. Continue laughing and remember every joke you ever heard.
Make sure the mix is at the right consistency by recalling one annoying person doing something terribly annoying and laugh heartily without a spark of annoyance.
Finally, sprinkle the whole mix with humility, and remember being happy does not mean being important.
