Come to Me. {Poem}

woman-506120_640

Come to me.

Surprise me at my door wearing nothing but a winter coat.
Indulge me.
Soothe me to sleep with gentle whispers and memories of an open body.
And then stay with me.
Make time for me.
Choose me over and over.
Think of me.
Touch me with an open heart.
Entwine your fingers around mine and show me you.
Let me see your love through your eyes.
Be consumed by me.
Let me rule your thoughts for a time and your time for a while.
Talk to me.
Tell me.
Promise me.
Want me.
Take me.
Then keep me.
Hold me.
And don’t let go.
Be with me.
For keeps.
For life.
For you.
For me.
For love.

For now? A wish.

Come to me.

Or let me go.

I don’t exist in the space between.
