#LastDressEver: Tina Fey Strips Down for Letterman.

FeyTonight

Fey is a self-proclaimed feminist.

Of course, she’s famous for a lot (think Saturday Night Live, Mean Girls, 30 Rock, etc.). In the past, her feminist driven fame has taken the form of critiquing George Clooney’s nomination for the Lifetime Achievement Award while his wife, Amal Alamuddin, is an accomplished human rights lawyer and has not been formally recognized for such an award. Fey’s also got the world buzzing over her “Bitch is the New Black” sentiment, is a champion for women’s body positivity and of course approaches raising empowered daughters with a healthy does of humor.

Last night, she kept her momentum going when she appeared on The Letterman Show for the last time. Did she sit there like she was supposed to and bathe the audience with her charming wit? Nah, she chose to ditch the pomp and circumstance and live it like it is, turning to Letterman and saying:

“This is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you”.
