Immediate & Eternal Passion. {A Love Poem}

Flickr/Ashley Harrigan

Immediate passion—your eyes met mine and something happened.

Mystifying in all senses of the word,

Auras bleeding and blending together

Creating an iridescent light

So glittery and pure,

Unseen yet undeniably felt,

And so, began an odyssey of love.

You were not part of the plan,

The universe conspired,

We simply obeyed.

You wrecked my plans like a perfect storm,

and I thank God everyday,

For nothing is as precious as love.

The best kind of love is our kind,

It’s real, it’s raw, and oh so imperfect.

Your smile, a rare gemstone,

One that opens my heart and makes me crave more,

You’re an addiction,

A hard exterior that’s tough to crack,

But I hold the magic mallet.

To me, you are comfort

Your chest a headrest,

Your arms a cloak,

You are warmth to me,

Physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Always so sure,

Always so brave,

Auras bleeding and blending together,

Mystifying in all senses of the word

Your eyes met mine and something happened,

Eternal passion.
