I gave Myself the Greatest Gift: Self-Love.

love yourself

“I want to tell women that you need to love yourself and make yourself a priority. It’s only when you are happy yourself, can you make everyone else around you happy. I am still a dreamer and still believe in fairy tales, but there is only that much one should give another person. You need to keep something for yourself.”

~ Bipasha Basu

Of all the lessons I have learned, the single most profound of them all is this simple truth: Love yourself first.

You are all you have got, all you will ever have, all you need.

Your skin is the only skin you will ever inhibit.

Love yourself, every inch. From your toes to the tip of your head. Be utterly, irrevocably and madly in love with yourself.

Love every perceived flaw, everything not quite right, every imperfect perfect body part.

Your mouth is the only mouth you will own; so form your words so that they dance from your tongue into people’s ears with unmistakable confidence and with that speak only words of love.

Yours are the only hands you will ever own; so caress every inch of your fingers and hug yourself harder then what you wish for in the dead of the night. Learn to be good in you.

Choose you.

Choose to partake in a love affair with yourself that lasts a lifetime and beyond.

Thank yourself for your mind and body and spirit. For these are the gifts you have received in abundance. Know that nobody thinks quite like you, walks quite like you or is quite like you.

Truly, you are one in a million. What a blessing that is!

Be grateful for all that you have received for the depths of your soul and the extent of your capabilities are unique to you only. And among all things, know that in time the essence of all things will be revealed to you.
