On Monday March 14th 2016 a Rainbow portal, also known as the Seven Pillars of Light, is opening. These pillars encompass the seven colors of the rainbow and they can have powerful and transformational effects on our chakras if we choose to access and absorb the incoming energies.
Every day from now until the equinox on March 20th, a different light frequency will be emanating from the universe and on each of these seven days a different color of the rainbow, starting with red and ending with violet, will be vibrating and radiating towards us. This means we are receiving a rare opportunity to harness these energies and carry out essential maintenance and cleansing work on our chakras, as each chakra relates to one of the color in a rainbow.
The reason we are experiencing and associating the incoming energy with a color is because the sine wave predicted recordings for these next seven days to coördinate with colors that vibrate on the same frequency as those predicted wavelengths. Each color relates to one of the colors of the rainbow, in the same sequence as a rainbow, from red through to violet.
As we are embarking on a seven-day rainbow energy influx, we can spend these days focusing on one chakra at a time and paying close attention to the emotional, mental and physical conditions that are associated with each one. The simplest way to do this is to start each day by tuning in to the chakra associated with the incoming color.
The days, chakras and colors interconnect as below:
Monday 14th The Base/Root Chakra—Red
Tuesday 15th The Sacral/Spleen Chakra—Orange
Wednesday 16th The Solar Plexus Chakra—Yellow
Thursday 17th The Heart Chakra—Green
Friday 18th The Throat Chakra—Blue
Saturday 19th The Third Eye Chakra—Indigo
Sunday 20th The Crown Chakra—Violet
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. Chakras are spinning wheels of energy and they draw in vital universal life force energy (Prana) that the human body needs to exist.
Chakras are visually represented as a vertical row of circles and each one vibrates on its own unique frequency and is depicted as a color. The seven chakras are associated with a color of the rainbow and they run up the physical body from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. They each serve as pumps or valves and they regulate our energy flow.
When we focus on each chakra we will notice sensations arising; this indicates the health of the chakra and how freely it is spinning. We will then be able to intuit whether the chakra is rotating slowly due to being blocked with dense energy or whether it is clear and light and able to spin on a high frequency. When we visualize the colors associated with each chakra we cultivate and revitalise the energy that is stored there and we will instantly feel emotionally and physically reenergized and replenished.
When our chakras are healthy we maintain a sustainable healthy flow of energy and the left and right side of our bodies, the yin (receiving) and yang (giving) rotate in harmony with one another.
Each chakra is associated with a specific area of the human body and also to our vital organs. They provide the organs with the energy they need to function. It is essential they stay open so that energy can flow through them as blockages cause our energy to slow down, which results in our physical health being adversely affected.
Each chakra has its own set of qualities that are enhanced when aligned and balanced and many of these qualities have yet to be accessed. When Kundalini energy, that lies dormant at the base of our spine, is awakened we can become conscious of what is stored in each chakra so we can gain access to the qualities and begin a process of self-transformation.
Our chakras can become imbalanced or blocked when we experience situations in life that are distressing or that induce negative emotions. If we don’t transmute and clear blocked energy it can manifest as emotional, mental or physical pain or illness.
To become aware that there is an obstruction we simply need to be aware that our mind and body are intrinsically connected and pay attention to how we are processing our emotions.
When we have a sound understanding of how our chakras operate we can connect with them so that we can heal our body as well as our mind. We can rebalance and realign our chakras by understanding each of their functions and then paying attention to the associated sensations related to our physical body.
On each day between March 14th and March 20th, we can focus on each chakra and by drawing in the color of the rainbow that is emanating from the open portal we can carry out essential emotional, mental and physical healing work.

Monday, March 14th
The first chakra is known as the Root Chakra or Muladhara and it is associated with the color red. It is located at the base of the spine at the tailbone area. It is our earth element and relates to security, stability, balance, identity and feeling grounded. It is also connected to our adrenal gland and our instincts for survival that generate our fight or flight impulses and primal responses. This chakra is where Kundalini energy is stored and lies dormant until it is awakened. If this chakra is blocked due to fear we will develop issues with our digestion and food, experience joint pain, constipation and have lower backache or problems with our legs or feet.
Tuesday, March 15th
The second chakra is known as Svadhisthana or Sacral/Spleen Chakra and it is associated with the color orange. It is located in the lower abdomen area just beneath the naval. It is related to our emotions, feelings, desire, sexuality and creativity. If it is blocked due to guilt we may have difficulties surrounding sex, hip, pelvic or lower back pain, or kidney or bladder problems.
Wednesday, March 16th
The third chakra is known as our Solar Plexus Chakra and is associated with the color yellow. It is located in the upper abdomen just above the navel. It is related to our personality, intellect, emotions, willpower, self-esteem, self-expression and digestion. If it is blocked due to shame we may have stomach or digestive problems, emotional outbursts, feel nervous, fearful or become angered easily.
Thursday, March 17th
The fourth chakra is known as our Heart Chakra and it identifies with the color green. It is located at the center of the chest just above the heart. It is related to universal love, compassion, forgiveness, letting go, healing, tranquility and our general wellbeing. It helps us to understand our relation to everything that exists to assist us to love and accept one another unconditionally. If the Heart Chakra is blocked due to grief we feel jealous, angry, abandoned or we may have chest pains and breathing problems or wrist, arm, upper back or shoulder pain.
Friday, March 18th
The fifth chakra is known as our Throat Chakra. It is located in the throat area and is associated with the color blue. It relates to truth, integrity, authenticity, expression and communication. When we are not communicating well or being deceitful this chakra may become blocked and the throat area will feel pressurized and we may also have neck or shoulder pain, facial problems or develop ear infections.
Saturday, March 19th
The sixth chakra is known as our Third Eye Chakra and it is associated with the color indigo. It is located in the middle of the forehead and is related to intuition, imagination, insight, discernment, inner knowledge, opening ourselves up and awakening so that we can connect to our conscious self. When this chakra is open we can clearly see both our inner and outer worlds with clarity. If it is blocked due to illusions, we may experience problems with our eyes or suffer with headaches or loss of hearing.
Sunday, March 20th
The seventh chakra is known as our Crown Chakra and is associated with the color violet or purple. It is located at the top of the head and is related to awareness, spirituality, wisdom and consciousness. If the Crown Chakra is blocked due to attachments we may develop mental health problems, skin problems, physical imbalance, fatigue and we may be unable to make decisions.
Our chakras often become closed due to a build up of tension associated with denied emotions, guilt, abuse, trauma or anything that has caused us pain or suffering that we have contained.
One of the most effective ways to clear blockages is by acknowledging any pent up emotions and working to resolve them. When we heal and forgive both our self and others our emotions will dissipate and the energetic imprints they have left on us will fade and quickly clear. This will remove any blockages that are preventing our energy from flowing freely.
While we are working on each one we should also look at the emotions that are connected to each chakra. As we focus on the emotions we can radiate unconditional love, acceptance, compassion and forgiveness to heal past wounds. When we clear past tormenting memories we are also clearing the way for a calmer, peaceful and less painful present and future.
When our chakras are clear and our energy is flowing well we will experience vitality along with optimum physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
It is also worth looking at how the color of clothing we wear affects our energy and on each of the next seven days we could co-ordinate the outfits we wear so that they enhance the healing work that we are carrying out on our chakras.
The external energies that are around at the moment are impacting anyone who is sensitive to energy quite hard. Many people are currently reporting feeling unstable or they are experiencing huge shifts in their awareness, however they are also struggling to find clarity on many of their personal situations. We may be feeling somewhat stuck right now and that is because we are caught in the glare between two very powerful eclipses.
However, once these energy waves pass, as well as this seven day light portal opening, our own energetic fields will also settle down, allowing us to reflect on everything that has taken place over the past few weeks.
We will then feel empowered to make rational and vital life-changing decisions.
