The Mindful Life Illustrated: The Only Guide we Have in the Darkness.

Mindful Life Illustrated Love_and_the_Darkness - do not reuseWhat are we doing here? What is this life really about? What do I do with my time on this earth?

Big questions, with no solid answers.

I have no idea why I am here. Why I perceive things and have feelings far beyond simple survival.

Why do I feel sadness, self-loathing, rage? And why do I care so much about myself, my ego and this life if it’s all going to turn to dust?

I don’t know.

But it is in that not knowing that I can actually see better what it is about this life that makes it so hard to let go of.

The one thing that binds me to this earth, this life and this body is love.

Outside of all human-made concepts—philosophy, religion, science and anything else try to answer life’s great questions with—sits love. It is not a concept, or idea, it is not a deity or god. It is not a construct of the human mind.

Love is tangible and real. It can be felt with the fingers of our soul and is undeniably the most nurturing force in all the universe.

When we are confused, love reminds us what’s real.

When we are lost, love shows us the way.

When we fall we land on love.

When rise it is love that lifts us up.

In sorrow, if we open to it, love holds our heart gently and in joy, it sings out with us.

Make love a guide for everything you do and it will light even the darkest corners of this life.
