Why I will not Be Celebrating Trump’s Inauguration (but Putin will). {Podcast}

This week Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.

It’s hard for me to watch Donald Trump become President of the United States. In fact, it’s hard for my brain to form the words, “President Donald Trump.” I don’t see him as presidential. I don’t see him as a leader. I don’t even see him as a mature adult. So it’s a strain for my brain to form the words, “President Donald Trump.”

It’s difficult for me to watch, but not because I am a sore loser. I am often accused of being a sore loser when I criticize Donald Trump. The reason it is difficult for me is because it’s difficult for me to watch a race baiting, misogynistic reality TV star—who’s less qualified for the job he applied for than for me to become an astronaut—become the most powerful man on the planet.

In this episode of my podcast, I explain  why I will not be celebrating Trump’s inauguration. I reflect upon the past eight years and compare the powerful example set by President Obama and First Lady Michelle to the ongoing disaster that has been Donald Trump.
