Straightforward Tarot Talk: 4 Tips to make the Best Choices.

Tarot works with four elements, which can relate to our physical, emotional, mental, and energetic bodies.

The best way to embody the Tarot is to tune into our own natural resources.

1. Get in your body.

Our body communicates with us all the time. It is just getting still enough to actually listen to what it wants. So, the next time you need to know what direction to go or what choice to make: stop. Put both feet on the ground. Breath deep into the earth. Place your hands in front of your solar plexus and then ask your question out loud. Allow your body to either move forward or backward. If it moves forward it’s a “yes,” if it’s a “no,” it goes backward. If it’s neutral, make the question simpler or shake out your body and try again. The body is a tool to access what our soul needs to experience.

2. Release old emotions.

What makes us so specialcompared to other beings in the universe, is our vast, emotional world. We hold old emotional patterns from not only our childhood but lifetimes of ancient memories. An important way to get clear on what is yours and what is not, is to release your emotional body.

This means taking daily showers or baths, writing in your journal, crying, screaming, meditating, and simply letting go of emotional pain that no longer serves you. When we release old emotions, we make space for emotions that want to be active and alive. Of course, strong boundaries are also important, so you are not easily influenced by other people’s feelings about you or toward you.

3. Mental strength.

We have many levels of consciousness and often operate on a program that we are not even aware of. Our subconscious patterns act like an old software program that makes us choose things that consciously we don’t want. The more you clear and reprogram the subconscious mind, you will be able to think clearer and act as you really want to act, and speak your truth.

There are many ways to do this, but one way is to write a list of all the thoughts and beliefs you feel are negative in your life. Then on another list, write their positive counterparts. It is about replacing the negative thoughts with more productive thoughts and training our minds to always search for the truth, instead of going back to the old program.

4. Know your intuitive power.

Do you know how you sense your intuition? Are you a visual person, do you hear, do you feel, or taste it? Knowing your intuitive power can give you a better understanding of how you receive messages and trust your instincts.

We are so busy these days that we end up thinking too much with our head, leaving our gut feelings consumed by too much informationWe need to clear out other people’s ideas, opinions, and feelings so we can get clear on who we are and where our strengths live within us.

For example, I am a visual intuitive, but with my inner eye, my third eye—the one that can see within, what is hidden in others. I discovered this when I was a little girl, but if you are just starting to figure it out, go back to when you were a little kid, and get a sense of how you used your imagination. Take notice if you still use this sense the same way as an adult, and you will get a better understanding of your intuitive power.


These four ways of existing in the world will help you start making the choices that are right for you, for your life, for your soul. You are on a hero’s journey, your own journey, and not playing some part in someone else’s story.

The more you take charge of who you are, what you desire, and surrender to your natural gifts, the doors begin to open to a world where each path you choose is the right one.
