We go back and forth as a society trying to understand and define it.
Grieving doesn’t line up with a five day bereavement policy or any timeline, for that matter. We don’t magically hit day five and trod back to work like nothing happened. Or maybe we do.
We don’t wake up one day, look ourselves in the mirror, and exclaim, “My grief has left me forever, never to return again.” Or maybe we do.
