Do the Work.

You’re sitting here with a mind full of gold. Brimming with ideas that could change the world. Like a mountain full of diamonds unearthed, waiting to be discovered. And you know it. You know exactly what you’re capable of. You know what you have the potential to accomplish. You’ve known this since you were a child.

But you haven’t started digging. You haven’t tilled the soil. You haven’t planted the seeds. Hence, you’ve reaped no harvest. Your land is bare — but, it’s not barren. However, you haven’t done any of the work.

You haven’t disciplined your body.

You haven’t even used your hands.

So, how can you expect to transition from “I want” to “I have” without putting in the work?

No legacy was left by accident — or by practicing self-care, to be real with you. No great person lucked themselves into history books. No legend was added to the hall of fame for being beautiful — or patient — or humble. Nothing worth being admired was produced with ease. Yet, here you are; breathing and meditating your life goals to their graves. Sitting on your time. Waiting for inspiration or stability or funding or a business partner or a mentor; waiting for something outside of yourself that is unnecessary for you to do what you are intended to do.

The world is waiting for you to recognize the power you hold in your hands, and the power of your will. But, first, you have to recognize and accept that you are responsible for digging for your own gold. You are the only person powerful enough to alter your life.

If you are angry with yourself for not living up to your own potential, good. Use that anger to produce changes. Cancel the days that you set your intentions and don’t pursue them. Cancel those plans that interfere with building discipline. Cancel those habits that prevent you from being consistent. Own your mental power and tell your body what it will commit to and watch how your actions begin to align.

My love, stop sabotaging your happiness, your peace, and your freedom for today’s comforts.

Your soul and all of creation is waiting for you to be who you came here to be. You are needed. Your life is already connected to millions of others for generations to come — but what will it mean? What will be your legacy? There is still time. If you are reading this, you still have time.

Start now. Not tomorrow, or next week, or at the end of your excuses. Start now. Commit to planting your seeds. Commit to tending your garden. Commit to doing the work. Your seeds will grow as soon as you do the work and not a moment sooner.
