Connection to Divine Source

It probably doesn’t make much sense to most people that I wake up at 4.30 every morning to practice yoga. In the past it didn’t make sense even for me. But I did it anyway. It’s obviously not about the physical body, otherwise 45 minutes 3 times a week with proper diet would be enough to deal with health, weight, tight butt etc. It’s about connection to the invisible Divine Source. Whether we are believers or not, it doesn’t really matter, as it exists everywhere and it exists in everything. It’s like the wifi we can’t see or touch. Most of us (including me) don’t understand it, but we can still connect to it and use it. Divine Source is the energy of pure love, care and support. The only reason we can’t sense it all the time is because we close down and separate ourselves with layers of protective overthinking. I feel we can’t do handstands or any other challenging asanas, not because our hands are weak, or the butt is too heavy, or the shoulders are too tight, or the abdominals are too weak, it’s simply because we are disconnected. The mind lives in one world while the body exists in another. The breath and emotions are shut out of our awareness. Sometimes this distance from our emotions results in an uncontrolled reactive explosion! So there is a great reason to wake up before sunrise; in order to expand our consciousness and connect with Divine Source through yoga practice. Evolution is a super worthwhile goal!???
