Mixed Race

Racism goes both way.

I can understand how hard it would be to be a POC in the USA, but what about our mixed race children?

The half African child who experiences racism due to his skin colour, not only from ‘whites’ but also from ‘blacks’.

The child who was told he was not wanted as he is ‘not black enough’, and ‘too white’.

His father would never condone those who said this, he would agree, saying they were just proud to be Pure African Women… Real Women!

What about this child?

The child who has grown up with minimal contact with his father as he is not ‘a pure African’.

The child who was discriminated against as a baby for having a white mother, a white mother who has listened to anti Eastern European sentiment her whole life and who now is persecuted by a handful of females in Zambia just for having her child.

The child with the white ‘devil’ as a mother.

What about that child?

Who speaks for him?

Who is there for my child?

My proudly mixed race child.
