Finding the balance
between you and me.
Together, we must act
Together, we were taught.
This togetherness is our survival
Our bloodline
Our everything.
But what to do when paths diverge?
Do I cross over?
Maintain our togetherness
by losing my separateness?
Or do I step out of line
firmly plant in my being
and watch as you crumble
stumble
trying to find the direction
without ever being given a map?
