176 Words that Perfectly Describe a Mother’s Love.

What’s good for my baby. {Poem}

My baby sleeps soundly,
Tucked in my arms.

They said co-sleeping was unsafe—
Would likely cause harm.

As if I wasn’t the safest place
In this great big world,

The most natural home
For my beautiful girl.

My baby’s playground
Is amongst the redwood trees,

Where she sits in the moss,
And gets dirt on her knees.

Her toys are comprised of
Clouds,
Sunshine,
And blooms.

Her canopy is the stars.
Her nightlight is the moon.

She doesn’t need all of the
Gimmicky things.

Her mind will develop
Without stackable rings.

Her sweet, unique nature,
Like a spotlight,
Shines through.

Our babies are all special.
To think not is untrue.

I don’t need the advice—
The passive-aggressive shots.

My baby lets me know
What she needs.
And what she does not.

I will always console her,
When I hear her cry.

It doesn’t make her needy,
If she wants her mama’s lullaby.

My baby is coddled,
As she should be.

It’s good for my baby.

And it’s good for me.
