Grief

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.

A Broken heart

is not a feeling

but a sensation

of falling

As she folds into me and weeps,

the world of empty things falls into her

like the wetness of April in an empty park

But within this emptiness

cracks a whisper

unconditional love

And I wish I could fill the empty spaces with it

To be in a world

without her

is something

she knows well

But is what

I wish

she’d never known

at all
