“My Girl” is one of my favorite songs of all time.

When I was in middle school, I used to dream about a boy singing this to me.

I’d picture myself sitting in an assembly and having that boy serenade me while walking up the stairs of the bleachers. Spotlight on him. And me. The whole school watching.

Ummm…clearly, it never happened, but it was something I’d sometimes daydream of.

I just love this song so much. It’s happy and light and so fun to sing out loud.

It makes my whole heart smile.

I love the original by The Temptations. There’s nothing as good as that one for me. But when I came across this version, I couldn’t believe how smooth this singer’s voice is.

This version also makes me smile.

Hopefully, it will make you smile too.

Oh, and as a bonus, I included a performance by The Temptations, because, well, ummm…they’re the best!
