“Am I the only one who finds this all impossible?”

Get off twitter, for a start. Get off Instagram. Or, manage our time, better. The average American checks their phone hundreds of times a day. Many of us spend 4+ hours on social and other stuff on our phones, every day. Where does the time go? There.

The Key to Getting *Everything* Done? Do Less.

Set limits on your phone. Katie wrote about that, recently, on elephantjournal.com. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, drown or die of thirst. Through mindfulness, we can go easy, live with a lighter touch, enjoy social and our phones deliberately, not because we’re lost, saying to ourselves…”What was I doing?,” half an hour after we opened our phone for some damn reason. Half an hour, poof.

There’s plenty of time. Time to work hard, love, experience a little gap, a little feelings, a little loneliness, appreciate the wind and the flowers and pet a dog. We have to stop investing in busyness.

To free yourself from the Glorification of Busyness, click here for one of my favorite articles on Elephant, ever.
