“This is on You!”—Beto O’Rourke Escorted Out by Armed Guards after Interrupting Texas Governor Abbot’s News Conference.

Amidst platitudes at Texas Governor Abbott’s new conference, lamentations of how demented the young man was in the Uvalde primary school shooting, and how unpredictable the situation was, Beto O’Rourke stood up to interrupt, and was promptly escorted out. But he had plenty to say to reporters outside.

After O’Rourke interjected, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) told him to “sit down,” while Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin called him a “sick son of a b*tch that would come to a deal like this to make a political issue.”

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said he was “out of line and an embarrassment.”

O’Rourke says America can do better, must do better, and why is an 18-year-old allowed to purchase an AR-15… “What the hell did we think he was going to do with that?”

One place you won’t be able to find firearms in Texas is at the NRA’s Houston conference this week. Attendees aren’t allowed to bring their firearms into the event, per Secret Service guidelines. That’s because former President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the forum.” ~ business insider.com

We must not become numb. But I worry that we are, and that prayers and love and light will be all that is shared amongst those who really haven’t the will to put lives before their political and personal interests.

The NRA officially spends about $3m per year on influencing gun policy—with many of the benefactors being senior Republican officials, who oppose gun laws being tightened. Many senior Republicans have issued statements condemning the Texas shooting and sent messages of support to victims’ families. But they have been criticised by pro-gun law campaigners over them previously receiving NRA cash and opposing increased gun regulations.” ~ inews

Watch for yourself. What do you think should happen next in America to address gun laws and the more than 200 mass shootings in 2022 thus far?
