The Greatest Christmas Letter Ever!

I have a Christmas confession, for years now Christmas letter writing would begin with good intentions and end with unsent mail.

Seriously,  I have tried every format and inspiration to get the task done and off to friends and family and every effort has successfully failed. My confession is that the unsent cards have become boxes of unsent mail that recently have become fuel for the yuletide fire. If you know me well you know that I stay connected and cards are not one of the ways. I use to feel remorse and guilt each year as the Christmas cards from friends and family arrived reminding me of the Christmas card tradition.

Thankfully, this has changed.

I have come to a beautiful place in my life and now accept that I am different. My letter writing is my writing. I have started to offer some compassion to myself and others when  “holiday expectations” let me down.

The holidays can be a difficult time for many. If this is the case please know that you are not alone.

Here is my Christmas Letter which was written and published just for you!

Dear Friend,

It is that time of year again when I begin to recall all of the sweet and bitter-sweet events and moments from this past year and years past. As the snow gently falls I offer prayers and blessings as well as some chuckles.

I think of you!

I silently wish you were here with me drinking a hot beverage by the fire. I wish we could walk in the snow and watch the birds. I give thanks for gifts of time and talents and I remember you! I think of the time we spent together and think of things I would like to do with you!

Oh, life is hurrying fast. I hope to travel to see you soon! I miss your laughter, and the stories and fun. Christmas makes me sentimental and grateful.  I am thankful to have you in my life.

My heart has broken a few times this year and I have come back more loving and strong. This year has brought some trials and some joys. I have learned from the trials and cherish the joys. Your gift of friendship is such a joy that I hold dear. I am thankful and appreciative of our relationship and hope to be gifted with the gift of time together soon.

May you be blessed and filled with love this holiday season and the whole year through. Wherever you are and wherever you go know that you are appreciated and that you make a difference. Dear one you are loved.

Blessings and Love

Renee
