Softly Now, Tenderly Tred

“Softly Now tenderly tred” whispers the voice of an angel.

For weeks now I have been tormenting myself. How can you miss someone you haven’t even met or have yet to meet? That strange knowing that there is someone out there for you and that feeling gets mixed with emotions of the past. This is the torment. It is kind of like being stuck in a earthly limbo and a state of yearning. As the rain softly falls an inner voice reminds me that this too shall pass and so I walk on. I write on in the shadows of night.

I am told to walk in softness and feel the light and this is a sweetness like no other.

Often when we are stumbling in the darkness trying to find our way we walk with heaviness that is our burdens and this becomes a blanket that can be all encompassing.

How does one walk with softness in a  world that is filled with turmoil and strife?

We look to the heavens and the softness beneath or feet. We feel the cool breeze, the jagged mountain cliff and the green clover. We find our footing and our inner compass.

If our hearts feel heavy we unburden and come undone . We let the tears flow and kiss the earth. Softly now is a lesson to revisit .It is some sweetness for both day and night. It is a reminder that life is a journey. The greatest lesson is the tenderness one needs to feel for oneself.

As I write I remind myself that the longing I have for love is a familiar longing and I am daughter of light. Companionship and love will arrive with an open heart when I am ready.

This restlessness that I feel is the longing for change and the readiness to start.

The love songs I whisper are a glorious song. The shadows of night become stallions that guard and so now softly sleep comes. Tomorrow I will be pulled into the book I am writing and let my spirit sing.

The angel beside me sings ” Softly now, my love you are in the arms of love”.

Here I surrender and feel the breeze gently push my hair out of my eyes like the soft caress of love.
