I just watched Sixteen Candles tonight and it’s cute and nostalgic and then suddenly there’s a full on “have sex with my gf she’s so blackout drunk she won’t notice” scene.
A comment: “Obviously it’s a different time and it interesting and sometimes funny to reflect on what was deemed expectable during the time but it’s also eye opening. The drunk pass off of the girlfriend was so weird/ wrong and the fact that it was a joke for that time period says a lot. I love watching old movies and comparing society to see how far we’ve progressed/ digressed! I enjoyed this video.”
