Capricorn Full Moon: Accepting Reality while Dreaming a New Dream. {June 29}

There’s a rawness in the air, a palpable vulnerability, a felt sense that something within us is stirring, changing, and shifting all at once.

We no longer are who we once were and have not yet become who we are growing and evolving into. We’ve been stirred, shaken, shook out, and shattered perhaps at times throughout the course of this potent energetic year. We stand nearly halfway through the year 2026, on a precipice, a juncture point perhaps, an impasse, a limbo and purgatory between the old and new reality we are co-creating every moment of each day.

As we’ve deepened into the healing quest and journey of our selfhood, of the rotten and ragged roots of self-abandonment patterns, of self-avoidance, of self-rejection, we feel as though the identity of the former sense of self no longer fits. It’s a breakdown of who we thought we were or had to be to be loved. The people pleaser, the nice one, the one who always over-gives to the detriment of their own energy and value, hoping for a breadcrumb of nourishment and love in return. The mirrors and reflections in others have been loud, curt, sharp edges like glass of a mirror cutting us each time we mistake the projection for the solution to the problem and pain of the unloved self who feels separate from love.

Gemini season has shown us the mirror of other and asked us, “Do we want to continue to participate in this pattern of self-fragmentation, believing ourselves to be unworthy and unloved?” Or do we perhaps want to bravely face the wound of our connections with others and to know that the reflections we see only mirror back to us the unconscious patterns of self-rejection we are continuing to participate in?

Gemini season has been fast and furious with energy, stirring our minds and mental faculties awake. With Uranus (the great awakener) now in Gemini as well, the electricity and frenetic energy in our minds and nervous systems can easily overwhelm and frazzle us, frying us out. Uranus energy has been extra loud as it made a square to the nodes of the moon (of fate) on June 12, a liberating catalyst for change, to karmically assist us in clearing out outdated Virgo south node energies of self-criticism, control, and perfectionism, of needing to have control over every detail of life. And it has asked us to liberate our minds from the shackles of this confinement and imprisonment to open up to our Pisces north node energy of intuition and soul faith in the cosmic purpose and mission, to surrender to the soul journey and not try to micromanage it or ourselves (or others) out of fear of losing what was never meant to come with us anyways. A reorientation of our energetic compass back to what’s truly here to support our soul vision and releasing what is not.

The ascension symptoms continue to alert us to the sacred service we have to care for our bodies and minds as lovingly as possible, despite the bouts of physical and mental disturbance that can happen (insomnia, anxiety, digestive issues, among others). Gemini energy brought in the new connections, the new ideas, the conversations we needed to have, also highlighting the internal dialogue we have within ourselves, and emphasizing our communication patterns, how language and words reveal only one level of the energy. Gemini energy is the word smith, the one here to transcribe energy into a written, understandable form. Gemini energy is the trickster and the twins, duality at play in the cosmic lens, the both/and energy reminding us to remember our vastness to hold both sides and perspectives.

We have been working deeply and astutely with this Gemini lens for the past few weeks and pronounced more so during the Gemini new supermoon on June 14, which brought online even more of these Gemini archetypal energies. This Mercury-ruled new moon (presently in the watery sign of Cancer) could have stirred deeper, emotional messages in regards to our own felt vulnerabilities, as well as stirring up past emotional pain we needed to feel and connecting us to ancestral messages we needed to receive. This moon asked: How can we communicate our emotional needs from an open heart? How can we feel the vulnerability of an open heart and not shame or judge our own sensitivity? To speak and communicate from the heart takes courage only few will choose to know and experience. This new moon energy was making a sextile to Chiron, in the latent and final (anaretic) degrees of Aries. The healing journey of self we’ve all been on for eight years now asks to be told, to be expressed, even if just communicated on the pages of our own journal, bringing words as the medicine needed in sharing our healing story. Any insights and revelations, messages communicated from felt aspects of self coming into clearer understanding and processing now. The mind can see and understand why the wounding had to go so deep. Why certain connections and people had to mirror back to us our wounding repeatedly.

Chiron has been a key player throughout this year as it ended its journey through Aries and entered Taurus on June 19. Chiron will retrograde back into Aries one final time though from September 17 of this year until January 6 of 2027. This Chiron energy will shift its focus from Aries themes around self-confidence, self-identity, self-trust, the wound of existence and separation from spirit, the physical body and illnesses/dis-ease, self-leadership, and a truer sense of self now to Taurus themes around safety, security, money, stability, self-worth and self-value, and deeper layers of our physical embodiment and feeling safe (or not) to be here. For the next eight years, Chiron in Taurus will be asking us to face the wounds we carry around these themes.

With Chiron energy so prevalent lately, we have had other major planetary energies making significant aspects to the wounded healer, including Venus making a square and Pluto adding more transformative fire to our fears, making an opposition to Venus a few days later. Though we had a benevolent-seeming, wish-fulfilling conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on June 9, Chiron was also present, squaring off to these two energies. What we value, what we truly desire, was perhaps shown to us on some level, the possibility of a wish fulfilled. But underneath it all lay our wounds of self-worth and self-value around receiving what we truly desire and want. The wound. The fracture of self. The pitfall of our own pained hearts. The ouch-that-still-f*cking-hurts energy. The perceived rejections of something we had prayed for and thought was our wish fulfillment, only to be met with a harsh no and deeper invitation from the universe to meet the unloved one within. Jupiter expanded the tender edges of our relational vulnerabilities and sensitivities, with the hope that perhaps we won’t get scraped up this time with more pain to process and assimilate.

So, the healing continues and asks us to keep showing up to it all, despite the confusion, the detours, and the letdowns. To remember that a new way is possible, if we are brave enough to face the pain within. As we shifted from mutable air of Gemini season into the watery soup of Cancer season on June 21, heralding the Solstice energy in as well and the dawning of new light in the northern hemisphere or increased darkness in the southern, our hearts call us home. Back to the hearth and the roots of home and family. Cancer energy pulls at the heartstrings and asks us to mother the self and the emotions we thought would handle themselves. Like children, our emotions wait for us to pay them mind, or else come bubbling out in rebellion and outburst when our emotional capacity has been reached. For true emotional safety and containment, we need a structure that can hold and support us, a masculine container within the self to allow the feminine energy to flow. This container and more grounded, supportive, masculine energy of Capricorn is the earthly support our emotions need to flow and will be aiding us in our own emotional processes for this upcoming full moon in Capricorn on June 29 at 7:56 p.m. EST and at 8 degrees of the cardinal earth sign.

Capricorn energy is ruled by Saturn, the disciplinary teacher, the karmic bringer, the structure builder, the task master sewer, the one here to reveal the sacred no so we can find the f*ck yes. Saturn energy can feel heavy, restricting at times, more limiting of fun and freedom, but all in the name and service of our highest becoming. Saturn reminds us of our duties and responsibilities in this 3D Earth plane and that we must be accountable for our energy and impact on the world and others. In yogic methodology and philosophy karma is simply the energy of action, cause and effect, the cosmic law that every emotional, mental, or physical action we take elicits a certain type of energetic impact that is eventually returned to us, for better or for worse. To know on a deep spiritual level that the harm, manipulation, deceit, or hurt we cause another ultimately harms ourselves. Saturn reminds us to do the work, to not shy away from the hard labor of our duties and responsibilities. Saturn being in the fiery sign of Aries now connects us to our self-led creations and invites us to build the needed structure for them. To be the self-led leader of our own creations and bring them into tangible, sustainable form. Saturn in Aries is the beginning of the new, and Saturn demands we build something worthwhile that will last for the long haul. So we must feel that what we are building and investing our energy into is a full-body f*ck yes. Anything less than that simply won’t do.

This full moon in Capricorn is heavily influenced by Saturn, as it not only rules this full moon, but will also be making a square to this full moon. This energy highlights our connection to external and internal authority. Any challenges around outsourcing our authority to another may be exacerbated here and a felt sense of friction when we hand over our own authority to anything outside of ourselves to make a choice or dictate the direction of our lives. This square could feel restricting and limiting, but it also confronts us with the responsibilities that we must tend to. Our emotions could feel more controlled and tempered here, or perhaps we may feel a repression of our emotional nature. And it may show us the internal and external structures that are restricting our emotional nature from a healthy sense of flow and expression. This energy could show and reveal to us where we have overly adopted and adapted patterns of emotional repression within ourselves out of survival, adaptation, and self-preservation or self-protection. Saturn energy governs time and reminds us that we have limited time here to do the inner and outer work we need to do. There can be a felt pressure with Saturn that connects us to the inherent mortality etched within each breath and iteration of life energy. Can we be disciplined and diligent enough to focus our life force energy on sustainable, long-term growth?

The sun and the moon will be making this T square with not only Saturn but to Neptune as well. With Saturn and Neptune here, we are asked to have a healthy sense of reality and discipline as well as belief in our dreams guiding us still, to surrender to reality and to not get lost in the delusion of grandeur fantasies. A healthy sense of realism coupled with faith in a new vision and dream building. Accepting the “no” from the universal Saturn energy, here to protect and redirect us, so we can more fully embrace the reality of what is, not the fantasy of what we hoped something would be. And to welcome and honor all the emotions that may come up. This energy could be bringing a reality check to our dreams and visions of what we want to create. How to let our intuition guide us and to also not override the practical steps we need to take. There could be rejection wounds we need to process but not stay stuck there or get lost in the confusion of why something didn’t work out. And to instead have utter and complete faith in the divine purpose of it all and trust that something even more aligned is destined for us.

With the sun in Cancer, opposing this full moon, we are reminded of the necessity of feeling our emotions while still reaching toward our external growth and more worldly, physical manifestations and creations. Capricorn without any water can become too hardened and dried up like the desert in a drought. Cancer without any earth to ground can become too overwhelmed with its own emotional tides. They need each other. Cancer, the mother; Capricorn, the father. Any father or mother wounds could be highlighted throughout Cancer season and during this full moon. The practice of reparenting the inner child becomes even more pivotal during this season. Sometimes the practice becomes meeting our bitterness, disappointment, hurt, and shutdown feelings and responses when life hands us a “no” or “not yet.” When life doesn’t go according to the “plan” or when what we desire doesn’t come to pass, how do we meet ourselves then? In the letdown and disappointment? Do we further shame and belittle our inner child, its desires and unmet needs? Do we clamp down harder telling them they were foolish for wanting x/y/z in the first place? Or do we lovingly scoop them into our arms with the care of a mother or father and remind them they are loved, they are seen, they are cherished and held even in the perceived loss of unmet external love? Maybe we never got the devotional and safe container of love we needed as a child and thus ensued a lifetime of replaying old wounds and traumas in our adult relationships in attempts to bring to light the love we can only give those inner child parts now. What a sacred duty and mission it is. Capricorn energy doesn’t shy away from the duties and responsibilities. And Cancer reminds us that tending to the heart space is the most sacred duty of this incarnation.

With Mercury the messenger going retrograde in Cancer (until July 23) the same day as this full moon, our emotions become potent activators and messengers. Something buried deep within our emotional landscape comes up to the surface to be witnessed by our own hearts, to be expressed in safe spaces, and to feel and honor what is real and alive. Any repressed or forgotten emotions that we dismissed away become louder during these next few weeks. Are we truly listening to our hearts and honoring our emotional needs? Messages from our heart could be getting louder as to what we truly desire to feel emotionally nurtured and cared for. Messages related to the past may come up as well, anything we’ve skimmed over or that is in need of being heard and revisited again. As Cancer rules our ancestry, the inherited stories we’ve been given are up for review and reassessment. The inherited stories of “not good enough,” of “flawed, broken, unlovable, and unworthy,” or feeling unworthy of meeting our basic emotional needs of safety. This retrograde swims in the deep waters of Cancer where the stories we were given are no longer in service to the soul we are becoming. These next few weeks of Cancer season become infused with intuitive messages and a deeper inner knowing of how we need to relate more intimately and tenderly with our own emotional process. Our Capricorn duty becomes to slow down enough to feel and connect with these heart messages even when they feel extra vulnerable and ache filled.

This Capricorn full moon can feel in direct contradiction to feeling the Cancer feels. Capricorn energy connects us deeper to our foundations and structures. Ruling and governing the bones and teeth in the physical body, we are reminded of the density and durability of human existence. That the strength of our foundations internally and externally is what shapes our felt sense of safety and security in the world. Capricorn energy is serious and committed. Practical and legacy-oriented, career focused. The persistence to climb like the mountain goat all the way up the mountain of our goals and aspirations. This full moon energy could be illuminating any outdated goals, jobs, careers, or structures that are no longer supportive of our long-term vision. Shedding the karmic weight of the old careers and outdated structures of our lives. Capricorn energy shows us the boundaries and containment we need to find divine and cosmic flow of energy toward creating the life we truly desire.

During this full moon, Jupiter, still in Cancer, will be making a conjunction to Mercury. Big picture thinking is the name of the game. But based on a deeper held emotional truth. A heart-centered feeling and truth that’s in alignment with the bigger purpose unfolding and ever expanding. Jupiter will be square to Chiron as well, at 0 degrees of Taurus. An amplification of the wound could be felt here. Chiron is making a supportive trine though to the full moon and the south node, dosing us with extra oomph and energy to release the karmic load and stabilize our energy into the reality of the here and now. We have all the strength and support we need to release what has grown too heavy to carry forward. Jupiter will then move into Leo on June 30 for the next year, amplifying Leo energies of embracing our light, being seen, being bold and courageous in the name of growth and expansion, and embracing our authentic voice and expression. Tempering the ego inflation could be the challenge here, but our heart will be feeling charged up and ready to shine its unique light out into the world after all the emotional processing we did with Jupiter in Cancer.

This full moon in Capricorn will be making supportive aspects as well, making a sextile to the north node in Pisces and a trine to the south node in Virgo. A potent reminder that what we shed and release karmically, energetically, and emotionally becomes the needed soil and fodder for our soul growth. Venus will be trine to Saturn here as well, dosing us with a recommitment energy to our hearts and to loving what is. Facing the reality with an open heart and letting love dissolve any hardness around receiving the love we are already worthy of.

Allow this full moon in Capricorn to remind you of the power and strength you have to build the structure you need to flow. And allow this container to authentically support you as you learn to inhabit your fullness of energy. Let this full moon release you from outdated structures that feel too confining and restricting of your energetic expression now. Let this full moon connect you more deeply with your duties, responsibilities, and sacred devotions to building a life of purpose, meaning, and legacy. To remind you that the way you live and honor your own soul’s path is the whole point and purpose of leaving behind a worthwhile and meaningful legacy. Let the dreams you dream now be filled with levity and lightness, but tempered with realism and practical plans to make the dream real. You are the builder of the dream seed planted in your heart for a reason and higher purpose. Build the life you truly want. Release the life you no longer feel emotionally connected to. Trust that the journey of building a whole new life takes time, patience, commitment, and devotion. Persist in the face of challenges and obstacles. It’s all here to teach you about your own resilience, persistence, and strength.

Let the mountain goat energy fortify your inner structures and boundaries, as well as your willingness to keep climbing up the mountain of your heart’s dreams and desires. Let. Your. Life. Be. The. Dream. Come. True. You’ve. Been. Building. You. The. Architect. Of. This. Soul. Map. The. Dream. Shaker. And. Speaker. Of. Truth. Here. To. Deepen. Roots. Into. Soil. Sturdy. And. Fertile. Fill. Yourself. Up. With. This. Earth. Energy. As. Your. Roots. Grow. Deeper. You. Are. The. Bridge. Of. Connection. Between. Earth. And. Heaven. Remember. Your. Sacred. Duty. And. Offering. To. This. One. Precious. Life. Mother. And. Father. To. The. Sacred. Child. Within. Loved. Held. And. Cherished. By. God. Coming. Home. To. Your. Inner. Wholeness. And. Inner. Union. Just. As. You. Are. Aho. Amen. And so it is.
