10 Things that are Profoundly True about Scorpios.

Being a Scorpio means being misunderstood.

I don’t know how many dating app matches have responded to my profile saying, “Ahh, a Scorpio. Your trouble.” Or simply “I should probably run…”

As if my birth month alone has already convicted me.

Common lines I hear regularly are:

“Scorpios so are dramatic.”
“Obsessed with sex.”
“Vengeful.”

While every Scorpio expresses differently depending on their level of consciousness, these are 10 things I have found to be profoundly true on my Scorpionic path. (Besides my sun in Scorpio, I have six other Scorpio placements in an 8th house stellium…ooof).

1. The root drive of a Scorpio is not revenge. It is truth.

Depending on the level of consciousness of a Scorpio, they will wield a fierce will to bring truth to light.

The more conscious Scorpio will wield this will with wisdom and care; the more unconscious Scorpio will wield this will through force, chaos, and destruction.

Scorpios are here to expose what is hidden and bring truth to the light, not simply in others, but perhaps most importantly within themselves.

This might look like a Scorpio naming what everyone else in the room is avoiding, or courageously admitting the parts of themselves they have spent years trying not to see.

2. We don’t have trust issues. Our intuition is spot-on.

Scorpios notice everything. Everything.

We see what is said, what is not said, the glance across the table; we feel the subtle shift in energy in the room,

Is it exhausting?

Yes.

And it takes courage to trust what you are sensing. Often, others will deny the truth, not because it isn’t there, but because they are not yet ready to face it. The Scorpio’s work is not to force the truth into the light but to discern whether it is theirs to speak.

There is a Scorpionic art to calling forth truth.

Not every truth needs to be spoken aloud. Sometimes it simply needs to be acknowledged by the Scorpio themselves. Sometimes the transformation comes not from exposing another, but from quietly honoring what you know.

3. Scorpios don’t thrive because of tension. They thrive because tension becomes transformation.

Scorpios often complain about drama. “And now I have to deal with this issue!”

Yet if we’re honest, we need intensity, not for the sake of conflict, but because friction creates transformation.

Pressure is to a diamond what tension is to a Scorpio.

It changes us.

Weeks, months, or sometimes years of wrestling with something eventually becomes relief, deeper love, greater wisdom, and profound insight.

From the outside, it may appear that a Scorpio is constantly exposing everyone else’s unconscious patterns.

But at a deeper level, the Scorpio is desperately trying to illuminate their own.

Transformation is not something a Scorpio does.

It is something that happens through them. Consistently.

4. If we disappear, we’re probably not mad.

We’re processing.

Scorpios need solitude the way many people need coffee.

We retreat into our cave, metabolize life, analyze, die a small symbolic death, and eventually emerge with new understanding.

Ahhh…emerging with the new understanding is so satisfying.

Please don’t take it personally.

Unless we’re actually mad.

Then you’ll know.

Hahaha.

5. A Scorpio’s sexuality is here for the meeting of souls.

Yes, Scorpios often carry tremendous sexual energy.

Yes. Scorpios enjoy sex.

But sexuality, for Scorpio, is never merely physical. It is a pathway to deeper intimacy.

After teaching sexuality for more than eight years, pieces I see often are clients coming forward seeking better sex, longer erections, bigger orgasms, and more confidence. But when we begin to work together, what usually emerges is the desire for deeper intimacy, the desire to be truly seen and known.

A Scorpio intuitively knows this already: sex for a Scorpio is the meeting of two souls. A  soul merging intimacy. And nothing less.

(This is why there are so many Scorpios in Sacred Sexuality; Scorpios are here to light the path to deeper intimacy for themselves and others, the blueprint already lives within them).

6. We don’t do small talk well.

“What do you do for work?”

Sure.

But tell me…

What heartbreak changed your life?

What are you afraid of?

What part of yourself are you still hiding?”

Now we’re talking.

7. If a Scorpio doesn’t know how to channel their depth, they will create drama.

Scorpios must transform.

It is an inherent need.

They must also dive deep.

If a Scorpio is not aware of this dire need, they will create drama and chaos around them constantly.

Often times, Scorpios leak the desire for depth into relationships causing drama that can become a toxic loop.

Conflict will become the unconscious substitute for growth.

Chaos becomes the attempt at transformation.

The Scorpio isn’t actually looking for a fight.

They’re looking for depth.

They’re looking for evolution.

A more conscious Scorpio learns to channel that intensity into places that can actually hold it: therapy, creativity, spirituality, meaningful work, embodiment, sexuality, or profound conversations.

Learning where to place our depth is one of the great arts of becoming a conscious Scorpio.

8. We remember everything.

Not details of dates, names of movies or books. We remember every energetic experience. And it is not because we are building a case against you. This is how our nervous system is wired.

We have startling precision and accuracy.

The exact words spoken.

The expression on your face.

The feeling of the restaurant.

The feeling of the song that was playing.

The subtle moment something changed.

It’s less of a superpower… and more of an involuntary filing system.

9. Loyalty is everything.

A Scorpio can forgive mistakes.

We understand that human beings are beautifully imperfect because we see this in ourselves.

What is much harder to forgive is betrayal.

Not because betrayal wounds our pride.

Because betrayal fractures trust.

And trust is sacred.

When trust is broken, it can be rebuilt.

But only through honesty.

Only through accountability.

Only through truth.

A Scorpio doesn’t give loyalty easily, but when they do, they will be your ride and die forever.

10. Please love us.

Our hearts have journeyed through countless deaths and rebirths.

We’ve loved. We’ve lost. We’ve transformed. We’ve been humbled to the nth degree.

And yet, we are still writing letters on love.

If you love a Scorpio…

Don’t fear our depth.

It is where our heart lives and breathes.

Meet us there.

Dear readers…is there more? What have I missed? I’d love to hear in the comments.
